Just had my black Phileas arrive from Lewertowski.
My first 'new' pen and I guess I am no expert but this really is an excellent pen for the money.
Feels nice and solid and the black looks classy too.
I used the converter and filled it with some Pelikan brown ink I had ready and waiting. Really does feel nice to write with - starting to understand what is special about fountain pens now I think

Very good ink flow and good solid line. Think the one I purchased has a medium nib.

Feels nicer to use than the Etalon that I found when asking the family what they had! That seems to occasionally skip. Perhaps that needs flushing a bit more?
Only thing with the Phileas, it sound slightly 'scratchy' although there is no indication of skipping or bad ink flow that I can tell.

Guess two pens is enough now?

You will like your Phileas. I got mine with two nibs: medium and fine. Just filled it up with Noddler's Blue and it's writing a treat in my diary.

Two pens will NOT be enough...and you know it!
Take it from someone who has three!

Awww it's nice to see the inocence and quiet conviction that you won't become a Fountain Pen addict and have to have hundreds of pens and 40-50 bottles of ink!! Enjoy your Phileas they are nice writing pens!!!

I'm also the proud new owner of a Phileas! Well, I will be on Tuesday.

My wife is pregnant and has been feeling too bad to do Christmas shopping. She told me she couldn't buy anything for me so I shouldn't buy her anything. Could I do that? Of course not! I've been playing along, but I did her shopping and got everything wrapped yesterday when I had a moment to myself. I then thought she'd be upset if I didn't have anything to open, so I ran out today and got myself some gloves and a black Phileas to wrap up. I think I'll make all the gifts from "Santa". (insert devil smile here)

Not had chance to ink that yet but looks a really nice pen too.
I also succumbed to an eBay seller of some of the Chinese pens. I know they can be a bit random quality wise but just loved the decorations on them....

Jimmy, I am sure you will like the Phileas. It has definitely made me write more since I had it
