After years of lusting after $500 pens, I saw a few reviews of the Phileas on this site, and found a black with a medium nib for $50 at Office depot. Waht a nice pen!
I loaded PR midnight blues into the pen and it took a whiel to get started - i flossed the nib with mylar and it flows better now, but....
the downstroke is always dry- can anyone tell me how my might tune this to get it to flow consistently?
Thanks
Barry

I've had good luck with flushing the nib out with a water/ammonia mix. I use about a capful of non-sudsing ammonia to 8 ounces of water. I either use a converter or one of the rubber ear syringes you can find in a drug store.

Failing that Bman - adjusting the feed will solve the problem. But before you do that let us know how the ammonia soak works.
