Just to prove there's a difference between some colours in the Aubergine - Eggplant - Violet - Purple range, I made a quick and very wet swab scan of some inks I have. These are very hard to capture colours, and my colour correction is far from perfect, but for some comparison of mere colours, they will serve. The swabs are applied with rolled paper strips.

I recently purchased Herbin's Poussiere de Lune. It's an unusual, beautiful ink that dries to a dusty violet. Violets are a tough color to capture, so your scan is a great addition to this site.

Pleas be aware the Montblanc and the Caran d'Ache samples got very wet and so darker than they normally appear.

The Caran d'Ache and the De Atramentis are the closest colourwise, but still not identical.
