Well, I gave pen turning a try and now I am hooked. These are few examples of my first pens.
This looks like a great forum with lots of info.

Thanks and regards, Louis

Looks great!

Keep an eye on your credit card....pen supplies will mysteriously appear on it from now on!

First pens? You're a natural!

They look terrific. Did you make the segmented blanks as well?

Keep up the good work and welcome aboard.

Looks like you are off to a great start, especially the glue ups. thumbup.gif
Personally I am not fond of the corset waisted shape(not to say I didn't make any when I first started)
I have learned that the components dictate the shape (to a degree).
When you start modifying the components or do away with them altogether your designs will become more of your own.

I really like the blank material you used! Did you do them yourself! Very nice start!

Thanks everyone for your comments....

Thanks Eagle for your constructive critisism on the "corset". I see what you mean...When I look at a nice professionally done pen - I don't see that kinda style.

Ragman and Pacmanpony - I made the blanks myself - Mostly wood from a cut down walnut tree, the other is brazillian cherry.

Next I'm goin to try to spin some acryllic - even though I'm more of a wood man myself.
Soon I will move away from the cheep pen kits and get into the more higher end fountain pen kits.

Thanks and regards - Louis thumbup.gif
