Hello, all.
I've got a nice Wearever Deluxe with the typical hardened sac. Unfortunately, a misguided would-be repairer (I decided against using the much more stronger words which came to my mind) has glued the section to the barrel with crazy-glue or some other cyanoacrilate-based adhesive.
The question is: can this CA adhesive be finally dislodged through repeated application of heat and soaking to the section/barrel joint, or am I SOL?.
Thanks.
Pablo
No, you need to dissolve it again, There is a solvent for CA based glues, and it was made especially for the purpose of removing splotches of this glue in unwanted places.
For a less agressive version, which would very likely not solve your problem (

), you could try and use label glue solvent. However, the latter requires a lot of hard graft just for removing a spot of superglue, so I would think you really need the proper CA glue solvent.
HTH, warm regards, Wim
