Hey, obviously I am new to this forum.
Been using some ballpoint pens... haha I know pathetic.
Need some quick advice on a fountain pen.
Not too expensive but a good fountain pen.
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Between the Epoch and any M2xx take the M2xx. The M215 is nice...
For Pelikans,
call Pam Braun to start.
I suggested the Lamy thinking of a low price point. If you roam into the $70-$100 range, then the Pelikan M200 is great. The one I have is the m205, bought from Pam... it is very very cool. Demonstrator!

That site def needs some help. No pictures, horrible layout, honestly I would never buy from that site just because of the looks of it.
If anyone knows him, drop him a line, I know these people from a good family friend... (website design firm)

Thanks.

Look at the Parker Frontier FP's. You might be able to find a Stainless Steel one on sale. I use one as a good 'knockabout' pen that I can carry around on jobs with me. They are not as nice as the Parker Sonnets but are reasonable quality anyway.
If possible, go into a pen store and see what the pens feel like in the hand. Don't worry about how it writes, because you will need to try a few inks before you find one that is best for your pen and the paper you write on. If you take it home, and it doesn't write at all, then the pen is faulty and will need to be replaced.
However, the size, weight and balance are important, and only you can tell what you need. Some pens are thick and heavy, others light and thin. You need to feel a few before you know what feels 'right'.
See how you go,
David.
