Hi, all,
I started using fountain pens in high school (35+ years ago

) after my father gave me his Parker '51 that he used in college (1940's). I used that pen all through college and early in my career, until I started traveling a lot and thought it might be more difficult to use (airplane pressure changes, availability of refills on the road, etc.). I recently walked into a pen shop in the mall, and was awed by the beautiful pen designs that are available. Over the past month, I caught the bug and purchased a few nice pens and have been using them exclusively. (I still have the Parker that is a deep plum color and a few MBs that I received as wedding gifts)
I've been reading posts here (a.k.a. lurking) for the past month and have learned a lot about the history and availability of pens, so now it's time for me to start joining in the conversations.
Recent aquisitions have been Parker Duofolds, Omas, and Pelikan. It's getting harder to decide which one to put in my pocket each morning. I'm looking forward to more FPN interaction.
Fred
