Full Version: reading italic handwriting

I have been wanting to change my handwriting, but I'm lost. Common knowledge among the forum is that italic writing is the way to go, for it's ease in writing and reading. For some reason, I don't find italic handwriting easy to read. So I have to ask the question, what other choices do I have for writing? Italic is just not an option for me.

Some people use one of the "commercial cursive" styles to great effect. The main disadvantage of these styles is a tendency to become illegible when doing a lot of writing at high speed, which is why italic is often recommended, but written at slower and more moderate speeds they can look very attractive.

See: http://www.zanerbloser.com/style_comparison.htm and http://www.cep.pdx.edu/samples/compare.pdf for some comparison of different cursive styles.

Regards, Myles.

Go through all the fonts in a web-site called My Font and choose whatever is the the most legible in your estimation and see whether you can emulate that font style.
