Anyhow, I finally have my first 51, and I payd fo it less than 50$. bunny01.gif  (I hope it is good price)

BTW How ofthen it can be found in this collour and version?

That looks like a standard Aerometric "51", 1948 to 1960 or so. If it is black, they are quite common as black was the most often sold color. Burgundy (maroon or dark red) is the next most common color.

Yours appears to have a standard Lustraloy cap (matte finish stainless steel), again the most common cap.

If it is working correctly, you didn't pay too much, although they can be found on eBay or at flea markets here in the US for les than $30 quite often. However, they usually require some repairs at that price.

Thanx for reply. This is Navy gray colour. How often it is?

This may be a 51 demi, in which case US $50 is slightly high for one in daily user condition - but not awful either. I think it is a demi because of the filler, it's just like one of mine, which is a forest green.

Dove Gray demis are pretty common, may even be a bit more common than black as these were often used by women...

I like the demi size; if you do not have a big hand, it should be comfortable for you.

Looks like a decent pen. An aerometric filler (not converter). Probably 1950-1960 as far as range of dates it may have been made. The grey color is fairly common.

It may indeed be the smaller Demi size, but I like both the demi and the regular size. I have a demi on my desk that I am using today.

I hope that it fills and works well. It should. The only thing it might need is a good cleaning and maybe the breather tube replaced.

Looks like it should be a good pen! Congratulations!
