HELLO

I have a Parker 17 with a brushed steel or aluminium cap.i can't find any pictures of a 17 with this type of cap.Did THE 17 come with such a cap?

Yes indeed, made in England, it had a gold plated clip and the jewel colour matched the barrel colour.

There is also a plain chromed clip cap with colour matched end jewel on a version made n France, this one also had a steel nib and was I think made for a short while after the 17 production finished in UK.

The De Luxe version of the 17 with gold plated clip and striped plated cap and black clutch ring was never as common as the broad banded Super 17 or the Standard so these pens are not all that common and I have only ever seen 2 of the French cheap pen in UK.
