Hi MB fans

While looking for the next pen buy I saw for a resonable price the Montblanc Special Edition Herbert von Karajan.

I know nothing about this pen and I would love to hear any impression any of you guys had with the pen.

Personally I am not much of a piano person so the pen does not really speak to me, but it is a beaut if you are into those things.

I have one with a broad nib. I think it's one of the nicest looking donation pens about.

The nibs on the donation pens are pretty much all identical, and have a slightly flatter nib. They were originally retailing for around £295 in the uk.

A worthy additional to any MB collection IMHO

I had a chance to try one out and it was decent. The design is nice. The MB composer series has not impressed me other than the Chopin and Karajan.
While not the most ardent fan of HVK,i admit to liking a few of his Bruckner recordings.

Really nice set Nikolaos!
What What kind of nibs do you have on them?
I see an Omas 360 demonstrator and a Pilot 74? on the right.
Is that a Sailor KOP on the far left? The similarity of
this pen and the Pilot to the Meisterstucks is striking.

Also, check out the Arturo Toscanini.
I believe it's the most recent donation pen.
Btw, I think the dove motif engraved on the nibs these pens is one of the
most beautiful. happyberet.gif

Thank you LDF!
It is the Sailor Realo LE on the far left. The OMAS 360 is a RB, and the Pilot is the Custom 823, magnificent pen. The rest are MBs.
I have 2 149s (F & M). The Sailor has the Naginata Medium. The rest of MBs are Fines and Mediums

Thanks
Nikolaos
