I just purchased a Cross Apogee Frosty Steel with a fine nib. I was able to test it at Pen Place in Kansas City, and I don't doubt the nib, but I was surprised I don't see an F on it. Is there any way to identify the nib size other than what store personnel say, or the box it came in?

The nibs are marked, it's just the marking is hard to see: get some form of strong magnifier and hold the pen horizontally pointing to your left with the nib face up. If you then look on the side of the nib, you should see a small 'F'.

Thanks, that worked. Aging eyes need good directions!
