I have been trying to find a pen case like a German Federmappe. Kinda like this one:

My goal if for my teenager to be able to pack an extra fountain pen, some pens and pencils and his geometry stuff in a zippered folder that's tough enough to be banged around. If there was a place for a flash drive, that would be nice too. What do folks in other countries use? I'm just looking for some suggestions. I'll be back on the board later this eve, but thanks for the suggestions in advance.

Most kids end up with a cheap plastic zip thing that goes in the note book. The one you showed at Ebay is sweet, may have to order on for my daughter!

I used one of the German ones when I lived there. I hate the darn US ones because stuff gets so banged around and the plastic geometry stuff trashed.

I found some interesting pencil cases in Korean market near my house.
They seem to take very seriously there pencil cases and can be extremely high tech.
Some of them actually have spaces for a usb drives and do some very cool things .
I don't rember if seeing leather ones but I am sure they have them.

I saw this on the web site, but have not pulled the trigger, so I cannot speak of the quality of construction, etc.
