(that was supposed to sound like an echo)

Anyhoo . . . I've been encouraged to tout the Sumgai Sundai sales I've been having at the Pear Tree Pen Company, so here goes.

Although I don't typically announce the Sumgai special beforehand (it tends to hurt pre-sale sales), in this case, I'll make an exception. Just in time for the post-Thanksgiving holidays, I received a shipment of limited edition Pelikan Place de la Concorde fountain pens, as well as the dark blue Pelikan M605s. Although I won't yet announce the prices (trust me, though, you won't be disappointed), at least you'll know what to look for. Like most of my Sumgai specials, the supply is most definitely limited, so you won't want to miss the sale this week.

How about a Sumgai Thanksgiving?

I'll be there on Sunday!

Hopefully without it sounding too silly a question, about what time will the items be on the site? It's just that over in Blighty the time difference might mean that I am out overseeing my gang of cheery pickpockets, or cutting the crusts off cucumber sandwiches or some other archetypal tarradiddle. I wouldn't want to miss anything.

Mmm, good point. I may be ironing the Corgis or having a right cockney knees up.

Then again if these pens haven't got a stubbed nib..... tongue.gif

Andy,
Neither of these pens comes from the factory with a stub nib available.
HOWEVER, James can always arrange for Greg Minuskin to stub the nib for you (at a reasonable additional cost, of course) before he ships it over the pond..
I mean after all that is the least he can do for you since you really really do want one of them, right.. rolleyes.gif

At risk of semantic nitpicking, i will pick some nits.

Whilst the sales have been very nice at PTPC, "Sumgai"- a word created by Bill Reipl of stylophilesonline.com- references pen finds in which the seller did not know what he had. Sort of the opposite of when an antique dealer or flea marketeer prices a broken Estie at $400 because it is "old and rare".

Bargains offered with full knowledge of discount indeed are to be sought and appreciated smile.gif but perhaps are not "sumgai".

Now we return you to your regular thread.

Didn't mean to ignore the posts here, but have been quite busy over the past few days, both updating the site and recovering from the near coma I've been as a result of over-indulgence at the Thanksgiving Day festivities. In any event, the Sumgai Sundai Sale begins shortly - at Midnight Mountain time.

As far as what's on sale, I don't think there'll be any surprises. As for the depth of the discounts - well, I hope there are a few surprises. smile.gif

Good Hunting!

Hello James

I have already sent you an email but I'm posting a message here just in case this is a faster way to get to you. Although I'm in the UK, I want one of the M605s sent to a US address.

Please let me know if this is ok with you and the postage charges.

Thank you.

Stephen
