Hello,

I know there at least a few members here who have the Kafka. When I was rinsing the filler just now, at about the 4th rinse or so, I suddenly felt and then saw something moving up and down in the filler (that I've never noticed before). Is this normal? I know some converters have tiny balls in them to help keep the ink moving and I'm wondering if this is a similar kind of thing... however mine looks more flat, like a small flat wedge shape about half as wide as the filler.

Whatever it is, it definitely moves up and down in the filler. Before I start to worry, I'm hoping one of you will reassure me that this is perfectly normal... unsure.gif

In the modern MB convertors there is a piece of loose spring. The purpose is to make the ink flow towards the nib when the pen is turned nib down.

Without this loose part in the convertor there is a chance the ink will stick into the upper halve of the convertor.

Probably the same feature in the Kafka.
