Full Version: Where could I find a late model WN Desk Pen?

After my initial dive into the world of Esterbrooks with my purchase of a Red J, I am looking to get a nice desk pen that writes and looks just as wonderful, and thought a late model WN Desk Pen would be a great pen to look for. Any suggestions on a source to buy from, what is a reasonable price range to look for, and should I consider another Esterbrook desk set that may have better functionality qualities? Thanks...

Your best bet is to scour ebay for one. My only real beef with desk pens is they can dry out too easily. I am a big fan of the Esterbrook dip-less sets, as they always write first time, every time, since they are essentially sitting in ink. You could get a dip-less set, then try to find a XX sized dip-less pen (The larger size) in copper, although XX are not very easy to track down. Copper dip-less model X pens, on the other hand seem to be one of the most common colors out there.

Good luck-

Hey Brian: I have noticed this drying out thing. I have one with PR Orange Crush and i am surprised how quickly the nib dries up...

What's up with that? I mean, the thing is upside down!
