Are early Pelikan 800 18kt nibs significantly different in any way from more recent ones?

No offense to anyone, I am not interested in any one incident where someone got a bad nib or two.

I am wondering in general if all the 18kts are (more or less) the same.

thanks,

I believe there were a few problems with the nibs initially when the switch was made to Bock as described in this article. Just Scroll down to "Flow Problems in Recent Pelikans"

Having handled literally hundreds of M800 nibs I can see little of any variation. There are, indeed, nib setting and alignment problems as outlined above, but the nibs are virtually identical.
