I decided to put this in the Montblanc forum because it is so specific. A spiral notebook cover, 3x5, 02/037. I bought this a number of years ago at a Montblanc Emporium in Las Vegas. I have never seen another.

Very cool pattern! happyberet.gif
How does the first photo relate to the other?
How does the notebook look inside?

Here's a picture of the inside. I just love this notebook, like all things Montblanc laugh.gif
It is shown horizontal, on its side, for some reason I took the picture this way.

Thanks for the additonal pic.
I assume there is a rnotebook that slides under the band?
Is it a MB insert or can you use a generic one?

I have used a spiral notebook, after removing the cover. It seems to have been made for that. It also is made to fold completely making the use of both sides of the paper easy.

What is the size of this notebook? 3x5 inches? Is that outer size or the size of the contents?

It is the size of the pad. As far as I can tell this was designed specifically for 3X5 Spiral notebooks. It is about 5 1/4 inches tall, 3 1/8 inches wide. I guess it wouldn't make any sense for Montblanc to produce a pad for this particular cover, although I'm not familiar with all Montblanc refills, so it could possibly fit something else like an organizer?

That would make it the same size as the pocket Moleskine notebook.

Maybe this cover can be used as a cover for a Moleskine notebook/cahier/diary eureka.gif

See Moleskinerie and Moleskine.

The Molskine is a little big for it, I actually have a medium notebook cover by Montblanc that fits the Mindnotes by Montblanc, the notebooks are about $15.00 retail each, as well as the Moleskine. It is very nice but the Moleskine with the leather cover is a little too big to put in my pocket. Granted my Moleskine that I carry takes a beating but they are pretty tuff. I think, and it is just an opinion, that this was designed either by someone at Montblanc who liked the spiral notebooks and wanted a cover, or it might have been a test run of some sort, with only 37 actually made. It is really a neat design because of its intended ability to fold over to write on the back of each sheet just as you could with the spiral notebook sans cover.
