HI,
i have a Chopin and a Boheme. I wonder if anyone of you can help.

I shall be travelling and am very weary of carrying ink bottles with me, so I'm thinking of using cartridges for my Chopin which I will be carrying with me. I was wondering: are there bigger cartridges than the ones used for the Boheme? Or is there only one cartridge size?

Is it possible to use some other cartridge in the Chopin besides the MB one?

And as for the Boheme, the same question: are there other cartridges besides the MB ones that fit this pen?

Thanks a lot
Shangas
To my knowledge, MB produces only one cartridge-size (I have a Chopin, too, so I can relate here).

Possibly. MB is supposed to produce 'international'-type cartridges, which can be used in all c/c fountain pens. If there's another cartridge made by another manufacturer (for the hell of it, let's say 'Parker'), and it looks similiar to MB, then yes.

In my mind, though, I would forego the cartridges and just take the MB bottle of ink. It's just more convenient. Just be sure to wad the bottle properly. Put it in a plastic bag (or the original box, if you haven't thrown it out), and fill all the crevasses with tissue-paper. Yes, these bottles do leak at altitude, I've had it happen to me. It's not MUCH leaking, but it can happen.

I'd say let's call it "Pelikan", because Parker uses Parker-sized cartridges rather than International-sized. smile.gif
