Just got my hands on this nice looking Esterbrook desk pen, but I'm not sure what it is. It has a steel(?) 1555 gregg nib, and a clear plastic(?) barrel.
Any info would be appreciated.

That's a model X dip-less pen, with steel nib designed for use in dip-less pen bases, most commonly the 444 or 407 (earlier) sets.
