Hello Everyone,

I've unpinned and moved the original "Welcome to the Penmanship Forum." This topic heading was supposed to have just contained a greeting by Corien and I, but ended up with numerous posts!

The original content is still with the original greeting. The new welcome message (taken from the original) is a closed topic, which is pinned.

I've added capital / majuscule letter alphabets to the Chancery Italic Script instructions. There will be at least a couple of more postings added to the instructions (regarding spacing, slant, etc.)

For those that want to improve their handwriting, but don't particularly want to get into Chancery or Copperplate, one of our members posted a link (I don't recall who or when) to Briem's page "From Zigzags to Writing." I looked it over and it looks pretty good. From Zigzags to Writing

Let us know what you're working on, be it regular handwriting or a calligraphic hand...we'd love to see some examples, too! smile.gif

Best regards,
Ann

Hi Ann,

I want to thank you and Corien for feeding us with great material. It's not because I am silent that I don't appreciate. smile.gif

I'm very grateful that, the day I shake off the lazyness to work on my penmanship, I will have unvaluable references.

Thanks again to both of you.

Denis.

Yes, thank you. That "zigzags to handwriting" site is helpful. I need lots of work on my 'd' because I often get a loop on the ascender, and I really don't like that.

Same thing here, Inky. Mine come from being in too much of a rush. sad.gif If I slow down and pay attention to what I'm doing, there's no problem. smile.gif

A big "DITTO" from me here!

Corien and Ann,
You are very generous with your time so thanks again for co-moderating this forum!

Best wishes,
