Full Version: Threaded Double Jewel?

So I was going through my spare Estie parts and came across a barrel that has a threaded bottom jewel. I thought only the transitional single-jewel caps had threaded jewels. Has anyone else seen an example of threaded double-jewels? I'm tempted to go try all of my other Esties, but don't really have time at the moment. I'll try to get some pics uploaded if that will help.

I have heard from several people some of the earlier bottom jewel's unscrew, although I don't recall ever seeing one (or bothering to try for that matter). Does it have the Rights reserved symbol on the barrel imprint?

Thanks-

Interesting! Thanks for the photos.

Now I know what I'm going to be doing this afternoon... smile.gif (not really)

My Esterbrook looks just like that but I am too afraid to mess with the ring and jewel. It is my favorite pen.

Thanks. This explains an odd part in the Esterbrook parts bin.
