I just saw a picture of the new sterling silver Dupont in the Paradise Pen catalog -- and then found more images at PensInAsia:
http://www.pensinasia.com/olympio_large_so...fp___dupont.htmHas anyone had the good fortune of seeing one of these in person yet? Dupont pens don't seem to be mentioned all that much here. I love them but can't afford them

...but I was fortunate enough to find a Dupont Ellipsis at the Chicago pen show last May, and the more I write with it, the more I long for another Dupont --GREAT nib!

I saw one on display, I think it was World-Lux in Seattle. Absolutely beautiful pen, and if I remember right it was it was just under a thousand but not sure. I looked at, and held in my hand, some beautiful pens that day, kind of overwhelming

It's listed as $1100 in the Paradise Pen catalog. Definitely not in MY budget! But then, compare that to the new silver Pelikan Majesty at around $900+...
I'm also drooling & lusting over Dupont's silver/palladium "diamond head" and faceted "nocturne" versions. But I'd have to sell off a lot of pens to even come close!

Yeah, it is a cool looking pen. I have a Paradise Pen close to me, tommorrow is my day off so I might go have a look in person. They had a large Dupont display my last time in so I expect one to be there.

I have three Duponts in my collection, they are among my favorite writers. Here are pics of two of them. The Fidelio is completely plated in palladium, stunning to look at in person but difficult to photograph.

I hate it! Those ugly black grooves ruin the pure beauty of the silver. UGLY!

I own the palladium diamond head and it's much nicer.

Individual preferences... I really love some Dupont styles, and then others are just not my cup of tea... but i do love this new silver one! Maybe I'll get a chance to see it one of these days, and find out if it still looks as good to me in person as it does in the photo.
That Diamond Head, now that's one GORGEOUS pen! I'm trying not to turn green with envy! And I also love the Vertigo, and Bill's Fidelio Ocean!

I agree that the Vertigo is one stunning pen. But if pushed, I would probably still go for the diamond head.

The handlebar grip styling is a little hard for me to take. I think what really puts me off is the barrel cap, it breaks up the line, and the way they treat the bottom of th section. I think it is one of those pens that, to those who initially like its style, will grow less attractive with the years.
As always, YMMV.

My Dupont Orpheo wrote like a dream from day one. It is really well made.

I must admit I am not impresed by this pen.It looks too futuristic for me.
I like a pen with classic look.
