Does this look like a CS to you ?
Took a chance and now I'm waiting for it to arrive. Even if its not a CS it's still a pretty pen.

It's not a typical CS colour and my first thoughts would be that the section and the cap are not quite the right shape and the cap band looks a little bit narrow. Presumably there is no barrel information and do you have dimensions?
Even if it has a CS lever and nib, beware. I once paid a reasonable sum of money for what appeared to be a long Dinkie in a very unusual colour, though there were no markings. On closer investigation, it eventually proved to be a Burnham, dressed up with a CS nib and lever, and there was the very faintest '54' visible on the barrel under a good light.
However, I would agree it is still a lovely looking pen, presumably 1930s, I'll await further news of it when it arrives - when you may be able to prove me wrong!

Yes... only other info is that it is approx. 4.75 inches in total length. It was the lollipop lever that naturally attracted me, but we'll have to wait and see just what it is.
I'll let you know when it arrives.

Well I wish I could prove you wrong but I cant.
It ain't a CS.
Similar lollipop lever with a stamped monogram which is hard to decypher but looks as if part of it might be a 'B'... ? Very nice quality body and fittings similar to an Onoto or a CS but with a standard warranted nib and no body imprint. You would have thought that the manufacturer would have wanted to advertise something that was quality !
So a nice pen, probably from the 30's, but of unknown English origin.
I'll try and take a couple of nicer pics.
Onward and upward.

Nice to know that what little remains of my reputation is still intact, John!
I have some period advertising for Platignum and other such manufacturers, I'll have a look through those tomorrow and see if anything looks similar. Certainly 30s and English would seem to be right. And irrespective of the maker, it still seems to be an attractive pen!

Sorry, no luck at all from my trawl through my archives. The colour looks more like something from Mentmore/Platignum but I've not been able to match styles or levers from the pictures I've got.

To be honest it's more likely a mentmore than a platignum. I've got two or three platignums from the 30's and this definately seems to be a better quality finish.
Oh well.... one more for the collection. Thanks for trying anyway.
