I'm wondering if anyone has tried to convert a Retro 51 Tornado into an ED pen. I have a stainless fine point that I love but my local supply of the short cartridges went out of business.

I just put a converter in mine, about *yay* big. Sorry, I'm not too up on the lingo. But without ink in it, it's the same size as a short cartridge. It's made by monteverde, and I just fill and go. Or, I reuse old cartridges and use my handy write-fill kit.

Metal barrels tend to corrode when converted to EDs. I would not recommend it. Have you tried refilling cartridges?
