hi guys, im really new to this, just bought a parket sonnet ciselé FP, im trying to get it writing for the first time, but i cant seem to get the ink to flow to the end of the nib. So far i have filled up the converter and then pushed the ink through the pen a few times, and then refilled by sucking the ink up through the nib. whilst the end of the pen is inky the nib still fails to write. are there any tips for starting a FP off for the first time, im not too sure what to do now apart from keep on squirting ink through it and trying to write
many thanks
joe

Hi Joe,

You have done it right with the converter. After you fill from the bottle, twist the converter knob to release a few drops of ink. What you didn't say you've done is twist the knob back again. This creates the vacuum I guess for lack of a more tech term. There should be directions with your pen to show you this.

If that don't work, flush your nib with cool water or you maybe want to flush with a 1 part amonia to 10 parts water mix. If that doesn't help I assume it's a feed issue and it needs to be adjusted. Then contact the place where you picked it up from.
