Description:
The measurements of the case are (in centimeters) 11x22x40. There are two drawers in it. The top drawer has 24 compartments. The lower drawer doesn't have any compartments (I've inserted some black velvet/plastic pen holding material, but that's very easy to remove). Below the two drawers there is some storage space. The handle is made from leather. There are two locks on the front panel (no key, sorry). The left lock has a tendency to open when the case is moved, but someone more technically able than I should be able to fix that. The right lock works fine.

The suitcase dates from before the brand name was changed from Sheaffer's to Sheaffer. My guess is that this is a suitcase that would be used by someone selling Sheaffer pens. Probably from the period between 1950 and 1960 (not my knowledge, thanks RW). It's condition is fairly good, as can be expected for a suitcase that old. There are some ink stains in the top drawer, but that too can be expected. It's still very sturdy and could make a great displaycase or "just" for storage...

Now for the cloth. In picture 2. the original cloth can be seen. Notice the brownish spot? That has been caused by damp and the fabric had started to disintegrate in that spot. That's why I decided to redo the padding and put in a new cloth (as can be seen in pictures 3. and 4.). I did not however throw the original cloth away. In that sense it's as original as it gets. Be aware though that the original cloth isn't in the best of conditions.
