Anyway, came up with yet another group of the beautiful celluloid Black & Pearl goodies that are sure to please any pen palette (color-wise, that is!). This time I've got 5-separate FP's, one PCL & two sets, so let's take a look...
From left to right...
1). SHEAFFER Balance Golf PCL w/GF Trim (~2-5/8" long), original (hard) eraser still under cap with 1.1mm leads in storage underneath it, good color w/minor wear to B & P finish, some pin-point marks on GF nosepiece, overall condition is "Excellent -"...PenEmporium Price $30.00!
2,3) SHEAFFER Lifetime Balance Ring-Top "Mini" FP/PCL Set w/GF Trim (~4-1/8" long each piece), 14K Fine Lifetime nib w/good flow & minimal flex, lever filler, good imprint on both pieces, FP has good color on cap & some ambering on barrel, PCL has good color wth only a hint of darkening, FP has some small dings on cap & on barrel along with minor wear & tear, PCL has minor wear & tear, both pieces engraved in Block-style: G.P.L., PCL is in working condition but metal tube under cap has been crimped & reshaped so it shows signs of repair, overall condition of the set is "Good"...PenEmporium Price $45.00!
4,5) GOLD BOND "Stonite" Ring-Top FP/PCL Set w/GF Trim & Clamshell Box w/Instructions (~4-3/8" long on FP/~4.75" long on PCL), 14K XF Rigid/Sharp fairly worn Warranted nib, some ambering on both cap & barrel of FP while PCL just has a little darkening, good imprints on both pieces, Block-style engraving on both w/Black-fill: MARY SNIDER, moderate wear & tear to both FP & PCL surfaces, moderate brassing on FP trim, minimal brassing on PCL but nosepiece has a small dent & some pin-point dings on it (works fine), comes with cloth-covered clamshell-style box w/filling instructions for both pieces, overall condition is "Good"...PenEmporium Price $50.00!
6) PICK "Exceptional" Flat-Top Jr. FP (Cincinnati, OH) w/GF Trim (~4-3/8" long), 14K Medium Semi-Flex Warranted nib with good flow & a sweet-spot and sideways imprint instead of usual top to bottom lettering, lever filler, great color & pattern on both cap & barrel with only a hint of darkening on both pieces (Pearl color is almost a Cream hue), strong imprints w/only minor wear & tear on both cap & barrel, no visible brassing on trim, overall condition is "Excellent"...PenEmporium Price $85.00!
7) GOLD BOND "Stonite" FP w/Art Deco-Style Ends and GF Trim (~4-7/16" long), 14K Medium nib with good flow & flex (almost Stub-like) and minor tooth to it, lever filler, Art Deco-style "stepped" ends, excellent imprint w/Block-style engraved name just above lever: ORVIL ORGILL (GREAT initials, O.O.!), good color on cap w/only a hint of ambering while barrel is almost completely but evenly ambered, minor wear on both cap & barrel w/only a couple of pin-point marks near barrel bottom, small gap between cap-ball & cap surface, overall condition is "Very Good +"...PenEmporium Price $75.00!
8) ((SOLD TO K.J.)) SWAN (MT & Co./N.Y.) #54 ETN FP w.GF Trim (~4.5" long), 14K-#4 Fine Rrigid nib w/good flow but stiff like Manifold point, lever filler, excellent cap color w/even ambering on barrel, small hairline split in cap lip (doesn't affect posting), small crack in barrel threads but actually doesn't affect capping of pen, minor wear on imprint w/most of it visible, minor wear & tear to cap & barrel finishes w/no major dings or dents, small gap between clip-ball & cap surface, overall condition is "Good +"... 9) MILLER "Guaranteed For Life Fountain Pen" FP/PCL Combo w/GF Trim (~5-5/8" long), 14K-#4 XF Warranted nib w/good flow & a little tooth, lever filler, 1.1mm lead for PCL part (perfect working condition) w/lead storage under unused but hard eraser, cap color good while barrel is slightly ambered, PCL end has good color, barrel imprint worn but readable, minor wear on cap, barrel & PCL end, minor brassing on top of clip, lever & nose-piece, lever slot bowed out a little bit, overall condition is "Excellent -"...PenEmporium Price $90.00!
10) ((SOLD TO T.R.)) CONKLIN "Ensemble" FP/PCl Combo w/GF Trim (~5.75" long), 14K XF rigid nib w/good flow but a bit on the toothy & stiff side (like a Manifold point), lever filler, both cap & barrel evenly ambered, good imprint, minor to moderate wear & tear to both cap & barrel finishes, some pin-point marks on nosepiece & minor brassing on all the GF trim, base of grip-section has some rough edging to it (just above barrel threads), overall condition is "Very Good -"...PenEmporium Price $105.00!
