I hope this is not to sacraligous, posting a ball pen ohmy.gif (I will admit having used one on a rare occassion) embarrassed_smile.gif

I have cut rope twists in a lot of material before, but never cut Tru Stone in a rope pattern.
If you do not mid the occassional breakage of material, and the sanding and polishing that goes along with making these.
They come out really nice.

The material is Tru Stone,
I turn the blanks round on the lathe,
Cut the rope pattern on a Legacy Model 200 mill, (not CNC, but a hand cranker)
Then back to the lathe to taper and fit the ends.
Then the time consuming part of sanding and polishing.

Thanks for looking and any comments you may have happyberet.gif

Those are all very nice Tony. Sometime in the not too distant future I hope to have a Legacy in my shop as well. You've set the bar my friend! happyberet.gif

Great job, Anthony.

When I visited Anthony's shop, I got a chance to see these pens.

They are very impressive.

It seems to me that putting a proper finish on those is a real laborious process. Getting into those little crevices would not be fun!
