This is the Platinum 3776 Celluloid series in Jade green. Medium gold nib.

I usually don't like gold trimmed pens, and this is one rare exception.

Nice. I'm not too wild about gold trim either but this works. Nice pic.

Close but no cigar, Round II (see the Visconti Opera Club thread)
Your photo is well done. I have the Calico version, and the quality is very impressive.

I was just discussing this recently with a friend. I almost always avoid gold trim if given a choice, but there are a handful of occasions when I really like it, and one of those is when it is paired with green like this. Very nice! Thanks for sharing. smile.gif

Thanks for the comments smile.gif

So Gary, you mean that you prefer the Calico over the Jade, or that you think the pen is still flawed somewhere?

Sometimes I'm too cryptic for my own good. The Opera Club and the Jade Platinum are mirror images of my Aida and Calico Platinum. I was commenting on how we happen to own pens which are basically the same but for the color. Plus, you can take very nice pics and I can't do that even with the tutoring of SWMBO.

Best wishes,

That's one of the nicest photos of the Jade 3776 that I've seen! Nice work! I love that pen.

Oh I see, thanks Gary! I would say "I wish I could afford the Aida", but then I realise I've spent just as much on a new camera anyway.... but still, I can't justify spending that much on a pen... at this stage of my life anyway....

Thanks for the comments James, I'm still trying to learn how to properly use my new camera... I think I'm still not using its full potential.
