I'm looking for a part for my 1949 parker 51 flighter. I believe it's called the "connector". I believe there is a crack at the threads where the barrel screws onto. I use the pen daily, but it still seeps ink slowly.

Anyone know if I am identifying the right part, and how hard it would be to change it out myself and where I could get the part?

Also, my matching pencil has an issue, maybe someone can direct me to the right place on how to fix this. If I hold the tip still, I can pump the lead out, but the barrel seems to be loose from the tip..

David Nishimura sells these on The Vintage Pen website.

Here is a link http://www.vintagepens.com/catill_nibs_parts.shtml

Scroll down to Parker Pen parts - you want an Aerometric coupler and sac assembly.

I just replaced this on my Flighter.

If you have any questions on the repair, email me backchannel.
