When did the pen company start inscribing the height of the mountain on their nibs?

Has the inscribed height changed over time?

Wikipedia claims that the 4810 number was measured in 2002. Since the summit is ice, measurements are not always consistent from year to year.

The oldest model I could find on the fabulous German MB site http://www.fountainpen.de has a model listed 1931-1934 with the 4810 clearly marked on the nib. Some other possibly older examples in the same category seem to have it, but not photographed cleanly. Earlier models (going by appearance and model number) don't have the 4810 engraving.

The earliest model I can find with an original nib marked 4810 is 1930, and the earliest ad I have access to is 1935, so I will stick with 1930. No, the inscribed height has never changed.
