Greetings once again from DocNib's PenEmporium! More "treats" from Waterman, but this time some of those not so easy to find matching pencils to help you make complete sets (& to fill up those half-empty/half-full Waterman boxes stashed away in your pen area!).
I don't know about you, but I like having an FP/PCL set in my shirt pocket or on my desk to use...gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing I have both pieces that make up the set plus, I like using pencils (& have been collecting them for almost as long as FP's!)!
Well, here's an octet of mechanical pencils from Waterman, all in working condition & look just MAH-VELL-US!
From left to right...
1) BCHR Vest Pocket Ring-Top PCL, matches up to the 52V/52-1/2V FP's (~3.5" long); continuous-twist lead advance menchanism; still very Black & chasing crisp; imprint on cap-top shows a little wear with some pin-point dings; lead storage but no eraser under cap-top; overall condition is "Excellent-"...PenEmporium Price $20.00/REDUCED TO $17.50!
2) Gold-Filled Filigree Over BHR Full Size PCL, can match up to 0552 or 0552-1/2 FP's or larger if that's what you have (~5-3/16" long); continuous-twist lead advance mechanism; BHR still very Black underneath overlay; excellent imprints on overlay; no visible brassing & only a couple of very small pin-point dings on cap-top below rim, otherwise filigree barrel very clean w/minimal shop-wear; lead storage but no eraser under cap-top; small gap between pocket-clip ball & barrel but not loose; overall condition is "Excellent -"...PenEmporium Price $95.00/REDUCED TO $70.00!
3) BHR #0725 Full-Size PCL w/GF Clip & Trim, matches up to 52 or 52-1/2 FP's or larger if necessary(~5-9/16" long); continuous-twist lead advance mechanism w/lead storage & eraser under cap-top; stil very Black w/only a hint of oxidation; no visible brassing; still has wrap-around tag under clip that says, "0725 N. $2.00 with G.F. Clip"; strong imprint w/only a minimum of shop-wear; overall condition is "Excellent/Near Mint"...PenEmporium Price $75.00/REDUCED TO $55.00!
4) RHR Full-Size PCL w/GF Clip & Trim, matches up to 52 or 52=1/2 FP's or larger (~5-9/16" long);continuous-twist lead advance mechanism; perfect "Orange" color w/no visible brassing & crisp imprint; lead storage & eraser under cap-top (eraser missing, will see if I can find & add one); some pin-point dings on cap-top piece and minor wear & tear to rest of RHR portion of PCL; small gap between pocket-clip ball & cap-tube but clip not loose at all; overall condition is "Very Good +"...PenEmporium Price $65.00/REDUCED TO $50.00!
5) Lady Patricia PCL in "Persian" Color w/Nickel-Plated Trim; continuous-twist lead advance/retract mechanism (~4.25" long); still has excellent color w/crisp imprint & no visible brassing; lead storage under cap-top w/no eraser present; bare minimum of wear & tear to celluloid parts & metal trim (clip still tight!); BHR twist-section still very Black; overall condition is "Excellent -"...PenEmporium Price $60.00/REDUCED TO $45.00!
6) Emerald Ray Ink-Vue Matching PCL w/GF Trim & GF "Globe" Logo on Cap-Top (~5' long); has interesting provenance, engraved in Block-style on barrel just below GF band:
