I really like the look of the PFM and Legacy. I have a Legacy II, but would like to try an Imperial with a touchdown filler. The Imperial IV and VI seem similar to the PFM except smaller. How do they compare size wise to a Lamy 2000 or a Legacy II? How often does the sack need replacement in the Imperial? I also noticed that the Imperial II or III's come with a triumph nib. How do those nibs compare to the inlaid nib?

My wife has an Imperial with the Touchdown filler. It is her favorite pen. She says that none of the pens in my collection write smoother. (She is a southpaw.)

The sac is a rubber sac and will last as long as any other rubber sac: probably 10 years or more with normal use. It is very easy to replace. Everything unscrews and pulls apart easily. You need to use a screwdriver to replace the Touchdown seal in the upper barrel, but the procedure is not difficult.
