It looks pregnant!

Did you build it? If not, what is it?

I agree it is a large pen. But when writing with it it has a nice balance. Yes I did build it. This is a steel nib. Early next year I will be having gold nibs available.
The body is bloodwood. Most of my material I work with is Lucite, Acrylic.
This pen has be donated to a Dallas TX childrens hospital for an auction.
There is a group of us thru out the country that makes pens. This is one of our
Charity events that we support.

Very nice! Do you use a "kit" for the hardware? If not, how do you make it? My husband is a wood turner and I've been encouraging him to turn pens, but I'm not thrilled with the kit hardware.
Were you at the DC or NYC show?

At right now I do use a kit for the hardware. Have your husband go to www.penturners.org
We have been changing the market of what is available to us. The kits have improved.
I have been at this for about three years. Before that I had a large collection of Parkers. I had to sell them off when the DOT COM bubble burst.
After that I began to make them. I am finally starting to make progress into the higher end market. That means getting away from kits and make you own components.
