I've never seen a 100 quite like this one. Silver barrel and clear green section all the way down and '31 vintage. Someone sees a lot of value there!! Out of my league!!

I've seen some wacky listings, but . . . . Actually looks like might have been a serious typo by seller's other items and their starting prices.

Price is down now - must have been a glitch.

Yes, the price on this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=230188039130&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=013) is down.... but check this out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=006It's $2,500+ and there's more than one week to go. Ok, it could be a legitimate 110... (listed in Martini's book, but not in Dittmer and Lehmann's)... but it still seems awfully expensive.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, but since the topic is up for discussion and I think I know a bit about Pelikans and these particular pens, I feel obligated to chime in.
As Riccardo pointed out, these pens were never catalogued. Pelikan never on any official level produced or sold them.
On the other hand, both then and now, lots of jewelers made overlays for Pelikans and other pens. Only the rather distinctive Männer overlays were authorized.
Ergo, these are not Pelikan overlays. They may be nice pens, but they are not authentic.
How much are they worth? Hard to say. Probably what someone is willing to pay.

The first pen, i.e. the one which originated this thread, was sold for $639:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=013The other 100 "disappeared" yesterday:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=006I guess it was withdrawn by the seller. Very strange ...

Let me clarify my comments, the first pen, at $639.00, was within reason. I've paid more for pens that were not echt Pelikan because they amused me. Beyond that makes no sense.

639.01 would make no sense?
