Has anyone ever replaced the nib/feed on an English Parker Junior Duofold? I have one c.1962 on which I am considering doing a nib swap, but only if the nib/feed can be easily removed and replaced. Thanks for any input offered.

I'd also like to know the answer, as I have one that has clearly been dropped, nib down, and straightened out with a pair of pliers! Amazingly, it still writes well, but it isn't pretty!
These would come top of my list of "practical everday pens, even in the hands of schoolboys"

Greetings,
I have several of these pens (Duofold [1], Junior Duofold [2, including one custom], Slimfolds [3]), and they are my all-time favourites.
I have swapped nibs on these and I found that it is not terribly difficult to do so. Please read up on this on the internet and in books (if you have/can find them) on adjusting the ink flow, etc. If you know what you are doing, it is not that difficult, however I must point out that pulling the nib and feed on any pen and re-seating it is a bit more difficult than it might at first appear. Make sure the pen is absolutely clean, prop it up nib downwards in a glass of water overnight (just the nib, feed and section in the water), and let it soak. Then GENTLY pull the nib and feed out. If it does not come out easily, send it to a professional. I take no responsibility if your project results in a broken pen!
I had a blue Duofold Junior that had significant damage to both the cap and barrel (it had probably been stepped on), so I turned a new barrel, cap and section on the lathe and re-fitted the original nib and feed. The pen has become one of my favourites, although I would hesitate to say how long it took me to do all this (about 2 full days of work, start to finnish).
Alternatively, you might wish to contact a professional repair company and have then do the work. That way, of course, you will certainly get a pen back that writes properly.
Good luck with the project.

Please note:
Regarding what I said above, make sure that the nibs are exactly the same size.
Each of the different sizes of these pens (Duofold Senior, Duofold, Duofold Junior, and Slimfold) have different size nibs. If you are going to replace the nib in a Junior Duofold, make sure it is the same size.
They often have numbers on the nibs. For instance, a Junior Duofold is a #10, a Duofold is a #25, and I think the Senior Duofolds are a #35.
Cheers,
Tom
