Hello,
an unused Sheaffer Agio fountain pen, ballpoint pen, and mechanical pencil set in Barely Black is available to me for $65. I am looking for a fp, bpp, mp set for daily use. The fountain pen will be used for writing notes, the ballpoint pen for signing receipts and possibly writing in a carbon copy notebook, and the mechanical pencil for writing exams. It may be an open ended question, but are there any better sets available at a similar price? Thanks.

Hello there,
I noticed, the other day, that isellpens.com (no affiliation, etc.) is selling matte-black Sheaffer Prelude BP/MP sets for $15, and matching FPs for $39. Not a "set" in the sense that the three instruments are packaged together, but definitely a set in the sense of three perfectly matching instruments. The three Preludes at $54 total (exclusive of shipping) strike me as a pretty good deal.
Both the Agio and the Prelude are nice writers. The Prelude is a larger, broader, heavier-weight pen, and that follows for the MP and BP as well. Both good options; your own choice would depend on your personal preferences.
I didn't default to Sheaffer because you originally asked about the Agio; I just happened to remember that the Preludes were attractively priced.
I'm sure there are lots of other options out there; and you don't absolutely have to have matching instruments either. There are plenty of excellent MPs out there, for example, that don't match anything at all.
Good luck!
Jon
