I received my new Lamy Al-Star the other day (thanks Pendemonium!) and really like it. The blue is very deep. I like the silvergreen and silverblue colors as well, but the blue on the new Al-Star really jumps out at you.

I understand that a few years back there was a LE Al-Star called the "Blue Star" that was made and sold only in Japan. The few pictures I've seen of the Blue Star look very similar to the new (non-LE) blue Al-Star. Does anyone know if the color is the same? Did the LE "Blue Star" have any special markings on it, or is it indistinguishable from the new non-LE?

Stationery! Stationery!! Stationery!!! post of Blue Star

As for the questions you ask, I'm afraid I have no clue but that Blue is awesome.

I don't know about that one, but I recently found the Bastian Schweinsteiger AL-Star (in standard aluminium). A must for all soccer fans...I mean pen fans...or perhaps only the few of us that are both laugh.gif .
