Last week a few (OK- 5 is more than a "few") new Bexleys found their way into the horde- and I don't even know what Bexley's official designator is for 4 of them!

I have been watching with great interest the Special Editions commissioned by eBay seller "outletline"- he has had several pen companies, chiefly Bexley, make SEs for him, as well as pens that he has put the "Molteni" name on. When I saw these, well, let's just say I bought in bulk...

outletline ("Molteni Pen Co") dubbed these the "Antonella"; I don't know what Bexley calls them. Bexley also made an SE for the 2007 Columbus Pen Show in the same design, though in Tibaldi Rose/Green celluloid (which I picked up too, haven't lensed it yet). The pen strikes me as "Wahl-ish", but that could just be the hard rubber talking...

These are outstanding- really, really nice. I am not one much for green pens, but the green/black ebonite is just stunning on this platform- my pics have totally failed to capture just how subtly cool this material is...

Next up, the "Celestial" (Molteni's name for it).

Very interesting. I've not seen this design used on any other Bexley pen- the seller told me in an e-mail that this was his design. This is a piston filler; I don't know if it's an embedded converter or not. Reminds me of a Streamlined Duofold.

The last one that showed up was nothing all that special...

I've seen some of his auctions ... I have no idea how he's coming up with some of these prices, however.

Take this pen, for example:
Light Transparent Blue and Metal

1) It looks like someone threw aluminum foil in the resin and called it "art".
2) MSRP of $980?!?! The Bexley LEs are only $500!!!

I've gotten a couple BC questions about this post:

None of the pens pictured have anything to do with the 2007 Columbus Show- I was pointing out that Bexley used the "Antonella" design for another pen (though not one that has seen wide-scale production yet). I haven't taken pics of that pen yet.

The "Antonella" is a C/C fill pen; the "Celestial" is either an embedded converter (likely) or a true piston (not as likely).
