The "long time no see" is maybe my fault.
I post less now than last year

I was looking at a post that I made recently on which the counter appeared not to be working.
There were 3 replies and no read counts. Anyway it has self corrected now about half an hour after the post.
It is not important - Please delete this thread and sorry for the bandwidth.

Regarding the counter: it is only refreshed every 6 hours currently, until we've sorted out the configuration parameters for the new server. It used to be instantaneously, which si why you see those counters not updating all the time anymore. The reason for this is performance: instantaneous counter updates come with a very heavy performance penalty, and there are only 2 options, namely instantaneous or 6-hourly...

So, when you do see funny things happening, or as it may be, not happening, now you know why.
