Hello everyone,

As I mentioned earlier , I have inherited a pen that I cannot seem to identify. If anyone can help me, I would be most grateful.

I apologize for the bad quality of the photos.

OK, let's take off the cap.

As you can see, the shape and size of the nib differ substantially from the Chalana's. The body is also very different.

It may be hard to see on the pictures, but the lacquered pattern resembles the Chalana Marble Red, in a slightly darker tone.

There are NO MARKINGS anywhere to be found on the pen.
The cartridge (which I refilled with a syringe) is also similar to a Sailor's, and only has "AUSTRIA" etched on its side.

Any idea ?

I have no idea what it is. But I do have the same problem as you. A while back I bought a red and black hard rubber pen with no markings. It's soooo anoying not to know what you have, isn't it?

No clue here either. Would you have any idea on age? We can "assume" since the cart has Austria on it that the pen is from the same place I guess.

I also have my own that I can't ID.

I know they are not the same, but there might be a chance of being from the Pilot family. These pens are presented as "Superloy - Pilot" by a reputed Bazilian seller: Star Fountain Pen (picture from the site).

It really is... although seeing the puzzled face of expert pen shop owners is also quite fun wink.gif

Possibly, even though several different companies are usually involved in the assembly of a complete pen.
As for the age, I have been told "the 1970s".

I wish you good luck. Can you post close-ups of the nib and clip engravings ?
