Hi every-one, can you help please?

I have a beauiful Imperial Pencil 727 that needs the lead replacing. I've used 9mm as it seems to fit the opening perfectly, but the mechanism will not secure it and so itfalls out. I've followed the instructions I found that came with a much older fountain pen so think I'm diong everything right.

Maybe it's just the size of my lead thats the problem! Can any one advise what size I should use & if there are any instructions on line I can access.

Many, many thanks,

John

Hi

9mm is the right size how are you filling the pencil? when you have inserted the lead you need to press down hard to make the lead grip the mechanism.
