Up for sale here today is a Parker "51" Cedar Blue Double Jewel in cherry condition.
This has been my user for about 3 months, and I need to sell this to fund a pen purchase.
Always first to start up, no skipping. Left uncapped for 10 min, still writes first time.

Restored and fills just like a vac should. Very reliable. All is clean inside and out. Gold wash in clutch is 99%. Near perfect.

One of the smoothest fine nibs on any pen. Very stiff; good for offices and fast notes. About a 6.5/10 for wetness.

The pen has a Ralph Prather Custom all metal filler Vac unit. No parts to break etc. This was bought directly from Ralph.
It makes the pen uncapped have perfect balance
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/rimakis/51PratherCedar/photo?authkey=zIoSGQBFfw0#5123157927870330674"><img src="http://lh6.google.com/rimakis/Rxkc_eLv9zI/AAAAAAAAAlg/ECVO8qsQSYg/s400/DSC00874.JPG" /></a>
The Jewels are also aluminum customs done by Mr Prather. Perfect size, perfect fit, perfect finish. The only minor imperfection is the tassie is slightly brassed. This shouldn't be a problem for a user.

I am not trying to pass this off as a First Year true Smooth Sterling. The cap was originally an ugly lined sterling that had so many dents i couldnt even count.
I decided to try to smooth it down, and I wasnt expecting it to be this good!

The clip is hiding a rather large dent about 1 cm across. You cannot see the ding unless you removed, or moved the clip.
The cap is not 100% ding free. Other than the larger one mentioned above, it has some shallow spots (not sharp dents) but not any that are noticible.
Overall, Wow! What a pen. A DJ 51 that will pop every time you use it (I know i felt warm and fuzzy everytime I uncapped it).
