Hi All -

I've got a problem with my brand new Visconti Pericle (B nib) - it writes fine for about a paragraph, then it starts to run out of ink. If I shake it I get more ink, but that's not a real fix. So far I've tried it with Private Reserve Spearmint and Parker Quink Black - same thing happens with both inks.

Should I try the mild soap cleaning/rinsing first? Or should I send it to Visconti USA in NJ?

Thanks in advance.

Unless you like paying postage and waiting, I'd try the home remedy first. wink.gif

If that doesn't work, send it in. In my experience Viscontis aren't super reliable for "out of the box experience" but they can quickly correct most issues.

Definitely the home remedy first. I've had great luck, both with the Pericles and with Visconti in general. I'm up to 8 blush.gif Rinse with the soapy, then try again. Mine have all been great straight out of the box. I always rinse my pens before I start and all mine are Bs as well. It should be wet and luscious. hmm1.gif

make sure the converter/cartridge is seated properly as well...

Thanks. I did the soapy water thing and it seems to have fixed it. 3 pages in my journal and nary a skip. This is a sweet a$$ pen.

If you get any more problems with ink flow, you could also try changing the converter. Sometimes the included converters just don't interact well with the inks you're using, so getting a converter from another brand might help.
