right now I use Diamine Umber for commentary on the student's idea/approach (in the margins) and (for the time being) Diamine burnt sinna on writing or grammatical errors (right in the text). The two color approach provides some good singals to students about what they should be working on.

I want to use red ink, but I also find that students get panicky - even if the comment is congratulatory. Therefore, greens/browns, maybe even some more exotic colors, are what I use.

Hi,

I grade a number of papers a year (and lots in a fairly long university career) and I use whatever I have that behaves OK on the sometime poor copy paper students commonly use for their papers. I hate it if the notes feather to much. Today I am grading papers with a Balance F loaded with Sailor Blue-Black (a nice ink with no green tinge, but perhaps a tad too black to be perfect).

I am trying to choose an ink to use for correcting and for editing. First I thought of using a vibrant red such as Sheaffer's, but I would like to know your experiences.

Thanks

I would use something like Diamine Claret / Scarlet or Diamine Orange !
