Dear FPN users,
Have any of you used an ItaliFine nib before?
If so, how does it write and can you really use both sides of the nib. One to write fine and one to have an italic feel? Also if possible can you attach an image of some sample writing. I am thinking of buying the 0.9-mm cursive italic/Fine ItaliFine M200 nib which will be in an M200 body.
Thanks for all the help.

Thanks.

This is Richard's nib right? You'll love it!
I have a Rotring 600 that writes on both sides. It is XXF on one side and B on the other. I love using it. I keep it inked with Noodlers and use it for envelopes mostly - I write the addressee in B and my return addy in XXF.
If you are springing for this pen, get an upgraded gold nib, not the standard GP steel. Once Richard works his magic, you might not be able to tell the dif, the steel will also be great, but the gold is, well... it's gold!
Also, the M200 with gold nib is M250.

You should sent a PM to Phthalo. She did writing samples of a bunch of Richard's nibs. She is an XXXF person, so I do not think she did the .9mm, but she is helpful.
You might also just search her posts to find them.

I have a .7mm/F ItaliFine on a Pelikan M215 -- it's easily my favourite nib for sustained writing.
Both sides of the nib work very well -- I use the italic side for most sustained writing, and the fine side when I need to annotate or need steady lines. Both sides are very smooth; the nib is more than worth it.

Richard put an ItaliFine on my Omas Galileo several years ago. It is a fantastic nib to use.

Best regards, greg

And, if anyone is curious about the colours, that was written using Diamine Umber on Basildon Bond brand "Champagne" note paper.
