Can anyone solve this for me?

I remember seeing some really expensive leather journal on the net. About 200 pages in A5 size were about US$160 each.

Where the title was on a book the journal would have "ribs"

I know that I saw it on the interweb, but that is not a lot of use.

It came in 3 sizes I think. A5, A4 and something a bit bigger.

Thanks for any help

Were you thinking of the ones on This page? They have some hand made cutom journals with Amalfi paper which are near the price range you mentioned.

UK source is Papernation, I guess you mean the Florentine journals, check out page 2 as well for the Chianti journals.

There are also these, which FPN member Shalley (not active anymore) was selling on her webpage. I could not find her webpage, but here is a link to the maker - Brahm's Bookworks

Did anyone here use/handle the Amalfi paper?
I'm using rather cheap journals until now, but I really would like to buy a nice one for my birthday.
I've been looking at these journals as well and was wondering if I could buy the one with amalfi paper and use it with a FP.

I have some Amalfi paper and like it.

The Jenni Bick website has this to say regarding the journal with Amalfi paper: "Write with any medium except a fountain pen (may skip)"
