Trying to restore a nice Parker Vac I need to remove feed and nib from the section which seem to be glued in place with shellac.

Nib is an orignal flex stub so definitely want to save it but not having to destroy feed (imprinted "A") and/or section would be very nice too.

Already tried heating the nib but still wouldn't move at all (tried a knock-out block as well).

Any suggestion how to disassamble all three parts without damage?

Cheers

Michael

Sounds like it is time to contact Ron Zorn.... either Ron or Richard Binder....
I had Ron do my flex stub nibbed Vacumatic because I did not want to possibly screw it up... and I have done more than my share of them for customers...
But sometimes you just need to go to someone with a lot more experience than you have...

Many thanks for your suggestions.

Parts finally came apart safely after soaking in water over night thumbup.gif

Only nib shows same slight damage on the sides towards the base being hidden under the section before but I hope it won't effect function.

Cheers

Michael
