I have three Solos, one F, one M, one XF. They are very very smooth and very firm.

Are the nibs on other Cross pens like the nibs on the Solo?

No, they are in a separate class. Fantastic steel nibs - reliable and much like the old Shaeffer Nononsense nibs. Regulsr 14/18K cross nibs are also smooth, but tend to be more substantial, as befits the higher price.

Discussed at some in previous threads, should be able to search up the details.

Thanks Opus104. I did search and did not find much in the way of direct comparison between the solo and other cross nibs regarding smoothness and feel. There is a little on line widths but not much else. jc
